Astar Network Unveils Astar Surge: A Pre-Deposit Campaign by Key Soneium Projects Driving Ecosystem Growth

Astar Network is excited to introduce Astar Surge, a campaign hosted by top-tier Soneium projects, launching on December 18, 2024. This initiative will provide ASTR holders with new opportunities and actively contribute to the growth of the Astar ecosystem while preparing for Soneium’s mainnet.

👉 Purpose: The Astar Surge Pre-Deposit Campaign offers ASTR holders the chance to deposit their tokens into dedicated contracts on Astar Network. In return, participants earn points for each participating Soneium dApp.

👉 Earning Points: These points are redeemable for tokens from the participating projects during their respective Token Generation Events (TGEs). This creates an incentive for early adopters to participate while helping to grow the ecosystem.

👉 Goal: The campaign is designed to deepen the utility of ASTR and foster stronger alignment with the Soneium ecosystem, driving growth and collaboration between both networks.

Kyo Finance: Kyo Finance helps users maximize their capital with advanced DeFi tools, including leveraged yield farming and staking available for the ASTR token.

Note : Withdrawal/bridging to mainnet will be supported when Soneium mainnet launches

Astar Surge Pre-Deposit
Astar Surge is a joint initiative led by SONEX, Sake Finance, KYO Finance, Yay! Global and Untitled Bank. This campaign focuses on engaging the community, expanding token utility, and providing participants with early rewards.

Event Timeline and Phases
1. Testnet Phase: From December 18, 2024
•Conducted on Astar Network and Soneium Testnet.
•Participants deposit tokens and earn rewards in real-time.
•Joining the testnet phase (From December 18, 2024) will earn extra bonus points and help grow the ecosystem.

2. Mainnet Phase: Post-Testnet
•New opportunities open on Soneium mainnet, including asset transfers and reward redemptions.
The deposited assets during the testnet event will be unlocked on February 1, 2025, and withdrawals to Astar will only be allowed after the campaign’s timelock expires.

How to Participate
1. Prepare Your Wallet:
•Before staking, you must have $ASTR/$vASTR tokens and a small amount of $ASTR to cover gas fees.

2. Access the Event Page:
•Users must create an ERC-6551 Agent NFT via the official event page.
•Deposited tokens will be securely stored within this NFT.

Notes: NFTs are only used to store the assets, and cannot be transferred or traded.

3. Deposit Tokens:
•$ASTR and $vASTR can be deposited only on Astar network.
•Token Conversion Ratios:
•1 $ASTR = 1 $wASTR
•1 $wASTR = 1 $wASTR
•1 $vASTR = 1 $vASTR

4. Earn Rewards:
•Participants earn Sonex testnet tokens and Sonex points throughout the event.
•Each user can earn up to 3,000 points.
•Rewards can be claimed at anytime during the testnet phase.

Explanation of the Tokens:
•$ASTR: Gas token for Astr.
•$wASTR: Wrapped ERC-20 version of ASTR, used for protocol circulation.
•$vASTR: Yield-bearing LST asset issued by Bifrost.

Please note that deposit must take place on Astar network. Users must create an ERC6551 "Agent NFT" via the event page, and the deposited assets will be stored within the NFT.
